How do I determine if I am eligible for the Program, and if so, am I allowed to appear prior to my court date to enter?: Eligibility of the program can be determined by calling 225-389-8579 and speaking with a Pre-Trial Officer or calling 225-389-3119 to speak with a City Prosecutor. Please call no later than 3 weeks prior to the court date given on your summons. Once it has been determined that you are eligible to enroll in the program, you may appear prior to your arraignment date to enroll.

2. Do I have to plead guilty to take part in the Pre-Trial Diversion Program?: No. The purpose of this program is to keep the violation off of your record prior to Trial or any plea. If you successfully complete the requirements, it will be dismissed without any plea.
