How long will my child stay on Probation?: The length of time your child will be on probation will be determined by the Court Order.

1. How do I contact my child’s probation officer?: Probation Officers and Probation Counselors can be contacted by calling 225-356-4471. Caller must identify themselves, the youth on probation and their relationship to the youth for verification that information related to the youth can be released.

2. Can DJS perform courtesy supervision?: The Department of Juveniles Services is only permitted to supervise a juvenile when they have committed a status offense or a criminal offense, and have an active case with the Department.
