Baton Rouge, La. — March 14, 2022 — Over the past several days, East Baton Rouge Parish experienced several tragedies that cut to the core of this community. Some incidents were alleged accidental shootings involving children and a pregnant mother. There were also alleged acts of intentional violence — one involving a Southern University student and another that stemmed from a dispute in Gardere. Another tragedy was an alleged act of domestic violence against a mother and her son. My heart goes out to all the victims in these incidents, and I ask you to keep their families in your prayers.
