BATON ROUGE, LA — January 14, 2022 — Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome has announced the appointment of Leslie Ricard Chambers as an Assistant Chief Administrative Officer. Chambers will oversee various City-Parish functions including the Division of Health and Human Services.
“Attorney Chambers has had an impressive career as a public servant and leader. She will be a valuable asset to my administration in our mission to bring peace, prosperity and progress to the citizens of Baton Rouge and East Baton Rouge Parish,” said Mayor Broome.
“It is an honor to be selected by Mayor Broome for this important role. I look forward to the opportunity to serve our community,” said Chambers.
Chambers received her juris doctorate from Southern University Law Center in 2008. She most recently served as Assistant Executive Counsel for Governor John Bel Edwards and previously as an Assistant District Attorney for District Attorney Hillar Moore for nearly 10 years.
