Baton Rouge, La. — November 15, 2021 — After four years of service as acting Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Administrator, Chad Guillot has announced his retirement. Guillot has been a dedicated and committed public servant, who led our team through countless challenges throughout his service — hurricanes, severe weather, and a pandemic.
Michael Denicola will serve as the Interim EMS Administrator effective Monday. Denicola has served as a vital part of the EMS team for 27 years, with experience as an Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, Unit Commander, Deputy Shift Commander, and Shift Commander, respectively.
