Metropolitan Councilmembers Brandon Noel, District 1, and Chauna Banks, District 2, are co-hosting a Community Meeting 5:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at the Baker Branch Library, located at 3501 Groom Road.
The public meeting is being held to provide residents with an overview of proposed amendments to the East Baton Rouge Parish Plan of Government. Metropolitan Councilmember Rowdy Gaudet, District 3, will present the information regarding the proposed amendments.
A discussion on the request by developer D.H. Horton to change the future land use designation of approximately 350 acres, on the east side of Old Scenic Highway, north of Groom Road from Industrial to Residential Neighborhood with a corresponding 986 lot residential subdivision, is also planned.
