The East Baton Rouge Parish Metropolitan Council is seeking public input on the proposed amendments to the parish Plan of Government. Residents can submit comments and input about the proposed amendments by completing the online public comment form on the City-Parish website here. 

Members of the East Baton Rouge Metropolitan Council Members are holding public meetings on the Proposed Plan of Government Amendments of the Parish of East Baton Rouge and City of Baton Rouge to bring awareness of these proposed changes to the citizens of East Baton Rouge Parish. As part of this transparent process, the Metropolitan Council is interested in public input on the proposed Plan of Government Amendments. Residents may also email their council member any comments, or use the online comment form to voice their opinions and concerns.

The Plan of Government Amendment Committee was created by the Metropolitan Council in September 2017. The committee, chaired by former Councilmember Donna Collins-Lewis, has proposed several amendments to the Plan of Government. The committee completed its work in June 2019.
