BATON ROUGE, La. — April 26, 2021 — Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome launched the Certified Geaux Get Vaccinated Businesses program during World Immunization Week. This partnership will work to raise awareness for the Community Vaccination Center, support local restaurants, and further incentivize COVID-19 vaccination.
Participating businesses are providing discounts to customers who show their “I Got the Shot” vaccination stickers from the Community Vaccination Center and their immunization cards.
“Getting vaccinated is the best step anyone can take to help us end the coronavirus pandemic and move towards a successful economic recovery. Many of our locally owned businesses, especially our restaurants, are depending on our community to take action and Geaux Get Vaccinated,” said Mayor Broome. “This partnership will not only encourage and incentivize vaccination, but bring in essential revenue to our local restaurants.”
