BATON ROUGE, La. – Nov. 17, 2020 – Today’s report by the Louisiana Department of Health about the increase of COVID-19 cases in East Baton Rouge Parish emphasizes our recent public messages to double down in our efforts and not give in to “COVID Fatigue.”
For the sake of keeping our economy open and protecting our health, please wear a face covering, social distance, and get a flu vaccination. In the last eight months, our residents and businesses have faced two COVID spikes already. We know how to slow the spread of the coronavirus, it only requires our vigilance.
This Thursday, November 19, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Louisiana Department of Health will host a Community Flu Clinic at the East Baton Rouge Parish Health Unit, 353 N. 12th St. The clinic will offer flu vaccinations with no upfront costs. If you have not done so already, I strongly recommend getting your flu shot now before the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Baton Rouge, I know we can overcome this pandemic if we work together and practice these simple safety measures. Our economy and health depend on your help.
