Garbage Bins Should be Secured During Hurricane Delta

Baton Rouge, La. – October 9, 2020 – Residents are asked to secure their garbage and recyclable bins close to their homes for the duration of Hurricane Delta. Bins left near the roadway can pose a safety issue during high winds.

All garbage, trash and recycling services are suspended Friday for the City of Baton Rouge, the City of Central, and East Baton Rouge Parish. The North Landfill will be closed Friday.

Collection services are tentatively scheduled to resume on Saturday, October 10, 2020. However, all services may also be suspended for Saturday if conditions are unsafe. Continuation will be determined Saturday morning.
