Mayor visits officer who was shot on 2/11/18 call

Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome - Baton Rouge Seal

BATON ROUGE, LA — February 12, 2018 — Last night, one of our own BRPD officers sustained gunshot injuries while responding to a call on Lettsworth Street. I immediately went to the hospital once I was made aware of the incident, and was relieved to learn that the officer is expected to make a full recovery. We express our deepest gratitude for his brave service, and I ask for all residents to keep this officer and his family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
