BATON ROUGE, La. – June 7, 2020 – Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome announced Sunday all City-Parish buildings will be closed on Monday, June 8, 2020 due to the continued threat of Tropical Storm Cristobal. Baton Rouge City Court will also be closed due to the storm.
Mayor Broome and the Mayor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (MOHSEP) will continue to monitor Tropical Storm Cristobal. The East Baton Rouge Parish Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will be manned 24 hours a day for the duration of the storm to ensure the health and safety of residents.
Republic Services will continue with normal collections Monday on a delayed start time due to Tropical Storm Cristobal.
