All Parish Libraries Closed Until Further Notice

As of 6 p.m. Sunday, March 22, all City-Parish Library facilities are closed to the public until further notice. At this time, drive through/pick-up services are not available at any location.

Expiration dates have been extended on all current Library cards, so access to the Digital Library will not be interrupted. Due dates for all library materials have been extended until Tuesday, April 14. Library items should not be returned to any location until library buildings reopen.

All library programs, meetings, and events have been cancelled.

The Digital Library is open 24/7, and its collection of resources are all freely available to any patron with a current East Baton Rouge Parish Library card. Visit Visit and click the Tutorials Arrow in the blue box on the far right to access How-To info and tutorial videos related to resources in the Digital Library.

Tools and resources on the coronavirus/COVID-19 can be found on the Infoguide at

Temporary virtual cards allow access to most digital products; see the “Library Services” tab at for more information.  The Library website also contains many Infoguides that describe how to access downloadable media on a variety of mobile devices as well as links to help desks.
