Baton Rouge, LA — Monday, March 16, 2020 — In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, State Representative Ted James and Councilwoman Erika L. Green will offer a one-day meal-to-go option, sponsored by Knightshed Law Firm, for District 101 and District 5 on Monday, March 16, 2020, at the BREC North Sherwood Park (3140 N. Sherwood Forest Drive) from 12 p.m.–1:30 p.m. Families and neighbors of children under the age of 18 years old should be prepared to drive up and pick up meals to go.
Children MUST be present with an adult.
“We are attempting to ensure that families have a supplemental meal option during the time period that children are out of school," Councilwoman Green said. "We encourage families and those in need to utilize the East Baton Rouge School System’s meals to-go sites (listed below) that will begin on Wednesday, March 18th through Thursday, April 9th and will run from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.”
