2019 Tax Roll Data Now Available on Open Data BR

Last week, we updated the EBR Tax Roll dataset on our Open Data BR portal to include 2019 property assessment data from the East Baton Rouge Assessor’s Office.

This dataset now includes a full listing of 2019 tax parcels in East Baton Rouge Parish, including the cities of Baton Rouge, Baker, Central, and Zachary. It also contains similar annual data and records dating back to 2015, giving users the ability to compare data with prior years and see how assessed property values or related records have changed over the years. The dataset contains records associated with specific properties or parcels like the date of the last property transfer, fair market value, total assessed value, and taxable amount of the parcel.

This is one of the first significant open data releases for 2020, coordinated in close partnership between the City-Parish and East Baton Rouge Parish Assessor’s Office. It follows the City-Parish’s release of the 2019 Open Data Policy Report, which outlines additional datasets the City-Parish is prioritizing and working to release throughout the calendar year.
