The Open Data BR team has published two new datasets. The Library Computer Usage Stats dataset contains counts of parish library patrons who have accessed the system’s public computers at each of the 14 branches. The BTR Airport Signatory Airlines Passenger Stats dataset provides details about passengers arriving and departing from the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport dating back to 1986.
The Library Computer Usage dataset contains the total number of instances patrons logged into public computers at each branch for every month dating back to 2013. Users can create visualizations, such as this chart, to compare computer user rates at different locations. Note: when setting up visualization filters, the x axis is set by default to display values from greatest to least. To display filtered categories in chronological order, go to the Scale filter, expand Chart Sorting, and on its sub-drop-down menu, change the setting to Ascending by label.
The Airport Passenger Stats include all signatory airlines that contracted with BTR between 1986 and 2019 — even short-lived partners like Via and Casino. The data table displays separate counts for enplanements (passengers boarding) and deplanements (passengers departing) for each month. One visualization created with this data compares passenger counts for seven airlines — including Delta, American Eagle, United, and Continental Express — displayed as a column chart.
Both datasets are updated monthly in Open Data BR with statistics provided by the EBRP Library and the Baton Rouge Airport, respectively.
