GIS launches new website

The GIS Team has redeveloped the entire gis.brla.gov website to enhance user experience and provide information in a sleek, modern web layout. The relaunched website is hosted by Esri, the world’s leading mapping and location analytics platform. The new GIS webpages seamlessly integrate online maps and data, making it easier to find content and learn more about what data is available online.

The EBRGIS Program webpages include information About GIS, Addressing, Projects, and Resources. All seven of the EBRGIS Lookup Tools have a streamlined user interface, as does the EBRGIS Map Portal. EBRGIS Maps includes a gallery of the most popular maps and apps, such as Traffic, My Government Services, and Drainage and Flood Zones. A collection of story maps which feature interactive narratives – like the Great Flood of 2016 – hone in on local landmarks and history with photos, concise descriptions, and a wealth of relevant data. Users can also search all public maps and apps through a new user-friendly interface.

All datasets presented in these webpages are free to view, download, and republish in your own websites and apps. We invite you to explore the new EBRGIS website and let us know what you think by emailing gis@brla.gov.
