BATON ROUGE, LA — January 30, 2019 — Today, Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome announced that Kelvin J. Hill will undertake the newly created position of Assistant Chief Administrative Officer, or ACAO, over all City-Parish public works departments effective Monday, February 4.
Mr. Hill, a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, most recently held the position of Vice President of Operations at Georgia Pacific’s Port Hudson facility. Mr. Hill has more than 20 years of operations and management experience in the industrial sector.
Mr. Hill will be charged with overseeing the following City-Parish departments:
- Department of Buildings & Grounds
- Department of Development
- Department of Environmental Services
- Department of Fleet Management
- Department of Maintenance
- Department of Transportation and Drainage
“The addition of Mr. Hill to my administration bolsters our ability to deliver high-quality services to the citizens of East Baton Rouge Parish,” said Mayor Broome. “He brings a wealth of experience to our public works departments, which are the backbone of City-Parish government.”
