BATON ROUGE, LA — January 18, 2019 — City-Parish offices will be closed on Monday, January 21, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. However, residential garbage (both in-cart and out-of-cart woody waste/bulky items) and recycling will be collected as normal. Additionally, the landfill will open as normal at 5:30 a.m. but may close earlier than the usual 5:00 p.m. depending on volume. Please call the scale house in advance at 225-389-4813 for any disposals in the afternoon.
East Baton Rouge Parish residents are reminded that this year’s Christmas tree curbside recycling program will continue service through Saturday, January 19. The Christmas tree curbside recycling program is available for all East Baton Rouge Parish residents, with the exception of residents inside Baker and Zachary city limits, as these cities operate under separate recycling collection service agreements.
