ADA Streets Accessibility Study to be Presented at Meeting

The preliminary ADA Transition Plan will be presented in a public meeting Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, from 6-7:30 p.m. at East Baton Rouge Parish Main Library, 7711 Goodwood Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70806. This document, the Americans With Disabilities Self-Evaluation Plan for Public Rights-of-Way, City-Parish Project No. 17-CS-CI-0020, evaluates the accessibility of EBR's rights-of-way, particularly sidewalks.

  

The meeting will be presented by SJB Group, LLC, along with subconsultants Post Architects and Full Circle Communications. SJB has been consulting on the city-parish's ADA Self-Evaluation plan in accordance with the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990. The public is invited to attend the meeting and comment on the study; all are encouraged take a survey on the state of rights-of-way in EBR. For those not able to attend the meeting, web access to a recording of the meeting will be made available here


CATS public bus transportation is available along Goodwood Blvd.; handicap-accessible parking and seating are available at the library.
