The City of Baton Rouge’s Office of Community Development will begin accepting applications for its Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Program Waiting List:

Applications will be accepted July 23, 2018, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (CT). Apply online at www.ebrpha.org.

Applications will ONLY be accepted during the period the Waiting List is open, and the application will be available during that time. Applications will NOT be accepted in person, via mail, phone or fax. Applications are processed in the order they are received. If you or anyone in your family has disabilities and requires a specific accommodation in order to fully utilize our programs and services, please call (225) 923-8100. The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program is administered in compliance with the Office of Communtiy Development’s Administrative Plan and HUD’s rules and regulations.

Eligibility for Section 8 rental assistance is determined by a household’s total annual gross income (before taxes); view the program’s requirements here. Information needed for the application:

• Name, birth date and Social Security number of every member of household
• Current mailing address of household
• Dollar amounts of income, assets (bank accounts and other property), and expenses (bills, groceries, rent, etc.)
