The East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor’s Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness (MOHSEP) will host the Annual Red Stick Ready Day at the Mall of Louisiana on Saturday, July 14th, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
“Baton Rouge” is French for “Red Stick”; being “Red Stick Ready” means having the necessary plans and items in place in order to be prepared for all hazards. Red Stick Ready Day provides a unique opportunity for citizens to interact with emergency response personnel. Informational booths will be set up throughout the Mall of Louisiana for the public to visit and receive essential emergency preparedness handouts and information. Attendees will learn how to create an emergency communication plan, what items are needed to build a disaster supply kit, and how to be better prepared for any and all disasters in East Baton Rouge Parish.
