BATON ROUGE, LA — April 30, 2018 — Today, Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome and her Women’s Advancement Commission announced a series of Survivor Listening Sessions that will be held throughout the Baton Rouge community beginning on Monday, April 30.
The purpose of these Survivor Listening Sessions is to open a community dialogue about the prevalence and impacts of domestic violence and sexual assault and to listen to survivors and families affected by domestic violence and sexual assault in Baton Rouge and learn ways we can improve our community response and prevention efforts.

These recommendations will be provided in the form of a proposed blueprint to increase the safety and wellness of women and girls in Baton Rouge.
