The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD), in partnership with the Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge (BREC), is developing the East Baton Rouge Parish Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan (the Plan), which will recommend a network of safe, efficient, and equitable facilities that accommodate walking and bicycling for all citizens of East Baton Rouge Parish. The Plan will assess best practices, policies, and programs, review current design standards for new and/or improved infrastructure, utilize data to prioritize potential projects, and serve as a guide to implement future pedestrian and bicyclist programs, focusing on the needs of the community.
