The City-Parish Planning Commission will host public meetings for the update of the parish comprehensive plan, FUTUREBR. The Planning Commission encourages all community members to participate in the open house meetings to add their voice in our community’s vision for the future. The future land use plan provides predictability and fairness for elected officials, planning staff, residents, and developers; additional elements such as Transportation, Infrastructure, Parks and Recreation, and Economic Development address issues critical to implementing our vision for an equitable, prosperous and sustainable City-Parish. While FUTUREBR’s recommendations, action items, and policy goals and objectives are integral to implement the City-Parish’s vision, public participation in formulating the Plan is the first and most important element.
Open house attendees will be invited to view maps and displays, talk with planning staff members and provide input on proposed changes to FUTUREBR.
All meetings will be held from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in the following locations.
