Baton Rouge, La – September 1, 2023 – City-Parish offices will be closed on Monday, September 4 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Residential garbage, out-of-cart waste, and recycling will be collected as normal. The landfill will be open normal business hours as well, 5:30 am – 5:00 pm on Monday and 7:00 am – 3:30 pm on Saturday.

Residents that received a notice in the mail of collection day changes will see those changes beginning the week of Monday, September 4. Residents can view the updated collection schedule through the My Government Services tool. The tool, along with solid waste collection guidelines, can be found at brla.gov/337/Garbage-Collection.
