Baton Rouge, La – September 29, 2022 – A member of the Baton Rouge Fire Department is part of the State Fire Marshal’s Incident Management Team heading to Florida to assist with Hurricane Ian's response. According to the Louisiana State Urban Search and Rescue Task Force Facebook page:
”The State Fire Marshal's Incident Management Team is eastbound and down to help Florida in the wake of #HurricaneIan.
This team of 10 which includes members from Louisiana USAR Task Force 2 is expected to be assigned to one of the hardest hit areas, Ft. Myers Beach, to help local government leaders there coordinate and run their recovery efforts.
We wish our team safe travels and are hoping for the best for our friends in Florida.
