As a part of Mayor Broome’s blight strategy, City-Parish will soon launch a $4.5 million Blight Initiative using American Rescue Plan funds. City-Parish will address overgrown lots, condemned structures, and junk, trash & debris on private property. Small businesses interested in participating can learn more at brla.gov/blightvendor
So far in 2022, the City-Parish Neighborhood Revitalization Crew under the Department of Development demolished 63 structures, cut tall grass & weeds on 367 lots, and cleaned junk, trash & debris from 172 properties.
