Dwight Hudson was elected to the Metro Council in 2016. District 9 is located in the southeast portion of East Baton Rouge Parish and is bordered on the east by the Amite River and Bayou Manchac and on the west by Pecue Lane, Jones Creek, and O'Neal Lane. Community Involvement
Dwight and his wife Stacy are lifelong residents of East Baton Rouge Parish and reside in Shenandoah Estates Subdivision. They have been married for 7 years and have 2 daughters, Sarah, 3½ years, and Grace, 8 months, and a rescue dog named Lagniappe, or "Yap" for short. Dwight graduated from Central High School and went on to earn a bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Southeastern Louisiana University. Dwight works as a Realtor with Emerge Properties of Louisiana and currently serves the residents of District 9 serving on the East Baton Rouge Metro Council.
The District 9 area is home to some of East Baton Rouge Parish's most well-established neighborhoods and covers the Southeast portion of the parish. The friendly neighbors, great local businesses, and vibrant faith community of the area are what make it so exceptional.
