Mission Statement

The Dr. Leo S Butler Community Center, is centrally located for the persons of this community, serves the residents of South Baton Rouge in their social, civic, medical, cultural, recreational and spiritual pursuits.

Services

The center offers many workshops to adults, senior citizens and children in an effort to uplift and inform them of services that can enhance their lives in a positive way. The center serves as a utility payment site for Entergy, Baton Rouge Water Company and the service fee business department. Blood pressure screenings, computer literacy classes, commodity distribution, dance classes, energy assistance and after-school tutoring are other free services available. The center also serves as a host for the Senior Employment Program, City of Baton Rouge Court Services Program and the Louisiana State University and Southern University community services program.
