The Revenue Division of the City of Baton Rouge Finance Department is pleased to announce the ability to file East Baton Rouge sales tax returns via Parish E-File. Parish E-File offers a secure online environment to file sales tax returns.
Tax payment due dates will not change when filing and paying through Parish E-File. If the due date (the 20th of each month) falls on a Saturday, Sunday, national holiday, or state holiday, the due date becomes the next legal business day. Returns filed after the due date will be assessed additional tax due (forfeited vendors compensation) and interest and penalty, as applicable.
There are no minimum payments or threshold amounts required for this system. Taxpayers who use the online filing system, agree to follow all rules and regulations established by the Revenue Division. The division encourages all taxpayers to participate.
