April 12th marked Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome’s 100th day in office after being sworn in and pledging to work towards a “new Baton Rouge,” a city of inclusiveness in which to live, work and prosper. Broome officially hit the ground running as Baton Rouge’s 38th mayor-president on January 2. In her first 100 days in office, the mayor-president and her administration have made community outreach and public input a high priorities, hosting and attending more than 200 community events and meetings.
As a new chapter begins for East Baton Rouge Parish, the goal remains to have a strong community of safety, unity and vitality.
