Risk Management


The Risk department continually evaluates all exposures to loss for the City-Parish, oversees a portfolio of insurance coverage to protect city property and operations from a variety of potential loss exposures, and ensures that those entities using public streets and roads for special events and other road closures provide the City-Parish with appropriate liability insurance documentation and ensures that departments and employees are educated in all risk-related processes. 

Workers' Compensation

The Workers’ Compensation agency is responsible for providing case management and claims administration for all injured City employees and is responsible for the coordination and authorization of medical services, ensuring their return to productivity in the workplace and their personal lives as quickly as possible. 


The Safety department is responsible for coordinating a citywide safety program and ensuring safety standards and compliance by issuing applicable directives and regulations concerning accident prevention.
