As the coordinating public safety agency for East Baton Rouge Parish, The Mayor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (MOHSEP) is responsible for coordinating crises – both natural and man-made – through all-hazard planning, situational awareness information sharing, public safety support, mitigation, and community recovery.
Mission
The East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (MOHSEP) provides the citizens of East Baton Rouge Parish with a comprehensive, integrated and coordinated public safety program to ensure natural and man-made risks are reduced, emergency services delivered and consequences of events managed to provide a safe, livable and sustainable community.
Vision
The East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (MOHSEP) strives to protect the life and property for all citizens of East Baton Rouge Parish against natural, technological, biological and man-made disasters, including the threat posed by terrorism.
