Our Purchasing Division is responsible for purchasing supplies, and materials, and handling contractual services for all user agencies of the city-Parish government. This includes all districts of which the Metropolitan Council is the governing authority, such as the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport, and other departments, commissions, and agencies that may request such services. We strive to obtain proper materials and services at competitive prices, in a timely manner, while complying with all local, state, and federal laws. This division is also responsible for handling vendor and contractor insurance, coordinating the office supply vendor stocking program, maintaining City-Parish fixed and moveable asset inventory control, and handling public auctions for surplus City-Parish material and equipment.
