Capital Area Transit System

Council Budget Office
The Council Budget Office serves as the division that oversees the review process for all federal, state and local grants and contracts which are administered within city departments, although this office does not give grants. The primary role and mission of the Council Budget Office is to provide budgeting and financial information to the Metropolitan Council in an effort to supply council members with information pertaining to issues and related items on the city's council agenda.

Emergency Medical Services

Retirement System
The Employees’ Retirement System of the City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge (CPERS) was created in 1953. CPERS is a governmental defined benefit plan qualified under Section 401(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as a public trust fund to provide benefit payment for its eligible members, beneficiaries and survivors. The plan is funded by member and employer contributions and earnings from investments.
