Short Term Rental Registration

All property owners must obtain a Short-Term Rental permit issued by the Permits and Inspections Division. Applications can be submitted online HERE or by visiting www.mygovernmentonline.org. The Permit is valid unless the short-term rental ceases operation for 1 year.
The permit fee is $100.
The property owner must register to remit sales, use and occupancy taxes or use an online platform that is registered to remit sales, use and occupancy taxes. An occupational license or proof of an online platform registration is required to be submitted with the application.
The total occupancy for the rental shall be two people per bedroom plus two additional people.
One parking space is required for each bedroom used for short-term rental. Alternative Motor Vehicle Parking Arrangement approved by the Planning Commission may be accepted. A parking plan is required to be submitted with the application.
Any short-term rental shall lose the ability to operate for one year if three violations are reported and adjudicated during one calendar year.

Property owners shall limit rental to one bedroom less than the total number of bedrooms in the unit.
The property shall be owner occupied (proof of Homestead Exemption) with an owner present on the property at the same time as the rental occupants. If these requirements are not met, a Non-Owner Occupied Short-Term Rental Permit will be required.
