Tech Support

In partnership with the Mayor’s Office and the Safe, Hopeful, Healthy initiative, Phoenix Marketing is providing qualifying households the opportunity to either receive a free tablet or subsidized internet service for $8.90 a month. 

This opportunity is federally funded by the Federal Communications Commission and a part of their Emergency BroadBand (EBB) initiative. Phoenix Marketing in partnership with EarthLink is providing this opportunity to break the digital divide in East Baton Rouge Parish.

“The pandemic has shown us the need to ensure our students are equipped with the tools to be successful. With only 85 percent of Louisianans having access to reliable broadband, this is an excellent opportunity to provide our children with the technology they need to grow and prosper in our ever-changing world,” said Mayor Broome.

Qualifications

If you are a recipient of any of the programs below, you qualify to be a recipient of either subsidized internet service or a free tablet.  You may also call 855-288-8326 to participate. 

Qualifying Programs:

• Medicaid
• SNAP
• SSI
• Section 8
• Veterans Pension
• Or a qualifying income level
