This division is responsible for media and community relations, advertising, recruiting, and providing interactive safety education for children of all ages in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Unit Demonstrations
Unit demos and safety talks are reserved for older groups of children that are above Perry's targeted audience. A paramedic crew talks to smaller, classroom-sized groups about safety and 911, conducts a question and answer session, and concludes with a tour of the ambulance.
Perry is a three-foot-tall remote-controlled paramedic unit that travels to many locations each week. He teaches children ages 3 to 12 years old about safety, prevention and 911. Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes.
Special Events
The Public Information division coordinates medical coverage for all special events such as LSU and Southern football games, Parades, Raising Cane’s River Center events, and all other public events in East Baton Rouge Parish.
