The Administration Division provides direction and cohesion for the department by supplying general supervision and direction over the other six divisions of the Finance Department. In addition, the Administration Division protects the financial interests of the City-Parish through monitoring legislative processes. Some of the major activities of this division which assist us in the direction of the department include:
Ensuring that departmental personnel policies and practices are resulting in the recruitment, training, and retention of an excellent workforce.
Providing general supervision and direction relative to the overall financial management system of the City-Parish.
Working with elected officials, governmental agencies, public and private organizations, employees, and the public relative to issues which concern governmental finance; and
Ensuring that the duties and responsibilities of the department are carried out in accordance with the law and the highest standards of professional practice.
