Patrol Operations

Patrol Operations is the largest bureau of the department and is the primary point of contact for services to the public. The Bureau operates four precinct stations and satellite offices throughout the city. Officers assigned to this bureau perform preventative patrols and respond to public requests for assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

PATROL Operations 

Patrol Control is responsible for patrolling all areas of the city, responding to calls from citizens, conducting preliminary investigations of all crimes, and enforcing both criminal and traffic laws. Please call 225-389-3807 to contact this division.

BATON ROUGE CITY POLICE DISTRICT ZONES

The Uniform Patrol Division is divided into five (5) geographical patrol sections or districts:

FIRST DISTRICT PRECINCT

First District is located at:

The area patrolled is roughly bordered on the north and east by Evangeline and Airline Highway, on the west by the Mississippi River and Scenic Highway, and on the south by Florida Boulevard. Please call 225-389-3866 to contact this district zone.

PRISONER PROCESSING & BOOKING DIVISION

Prisoner Processing and Booking is located inside the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison at:
2867 Brigadier General Isaac Smith Avenue
Baton Rouge, LA 70807

This division is responsible for accepting arrestees from BRPD officers to be processed by entering arrest information and fingerprints onto AFIS and releasing them into the custody of the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office.

SUPPORT SERVICES DIVISION

Support Services performs functions that supplement the uniform patrol division. Support Units are used for Housing Authority Patrols and Governmental Building Security. Please call 225-389-3911 to contact this division.
